Ignou Openmat Exam Syllabus-

Ignou Openmat- Entrance exam for MBA program has four modules.

General Knowledge/ current affairs,
English language test,
Quantitative Aptitude test,
and last one is Reasoning.

Let’s discuss that in brief-

Reasoning	70 Questions	Puzzles, verbal ability, analytical and decision making ability, analogy, logic and diagram

Ignou Openmat exam pattern

Before you choose to apply for Openmat exam you should know the exam pattern. So guys exams for all entrance exams in Ignou for MBA, B.Ed. Phd. and M.Phil all are objective type.

All objective types questions- with 4 options.
It is also knows as “MCQ Pattern” (Multiple Choice Question)
answers to be mapped on OMR Sheet.
Computerized marks checking.
Negative Marking- NO
Time you get 3 Hours.
Total Questions 200 to be solved.

Since you know the syllabus for Openmat is divided into four slab. Let us know the details of each one-

Test-1 General Awareness questions will be based on:

General knowledge upon-

World Organizations,
Sports CE Person, Places, Awards,
countries, General Economic Study,
General Science – Biology, Physics, Chemistry, National CE,
Democratic Polity, History of India.

Test-2 English Language questions to be based on:

Reading Comprehension –

Passages, Fill in the blanks, Pairing of words,
Sentences, Synonyms, Antonyms, Sentence Improvement,
Idioms and Phrases, Analogous Pair.

Test-3 Quantitative Aptitude:

Number System, LCM and HCF,
Decimals and Fractions,
Simplification, Average,
Algebraic Equations , Geometry,
Ages, Ratios, Percentage, Sets.
Calendar, Table, Profit and Loss.
Time and Work, Logarithms,
Area and Parameter, Clocks, Discount, Permutation and combinations,
Probability, Square root Compound Interest, Volume and Surface Area etc.

Test-4 Reasoning:

Normally reasoning test for Ignou Openmat is based on the following topics:

Diagrams and figures, Statements, Direction and distance,
Logical reasoning, Analytical, reasoning, Blood relations,
Mixed and Substitution coding, Number Analogy test,
Complete word Analogy, Number series test, Letter series test etc.

Ignou Openmat exam preparation tips for the students:

Most of student ask questions like- is it difficult to clear Ignou Openmat? So the answer for this question is a big NO.

its easier that CAT and MAT and most positive point is that Ignou Openmat exam is on MCQ pattern. You will get 3 hours time to guess correct answers of 200 questions. That means- you have 54 seconds for each questions to guess. There are no tuff questions if you prepare according to the following-

Prepare current affair questions properly.
Prepare all important topics may it be- General knowledge, history, politics & sociology.
You need some good reasoning skill to crack the scenario & relationship based question.
And there is no negative marking so you could take a chance when doubtful.
